How to delegate a domain

We recommend that you add a domain in the servers.com Customer Portal to avoid downtime (more information in our how to add a domain article).

To delegate a domain, set up servers.com name servers on the side of your domain registrar.

These servers are listed below:

  • ns01.srvrsdns.com

  • ns01.srvrsdns.net

  • ns01.srvrsdns.org

  • ns01.srvrsdns.co.uk

Then go through the following steps to delegate a domain to our name servers:

  1. Log in to your DNS provider account and navigate to the DNS management page

  2. Find an option to change name servers (keep in mind that name servers for a domain can be defined by a NS record)

  3. Substitute your name servers with servers.com name servers

  4. If you have any difficulties, refer to the documentation or seek the support of your DNS provider

  5. After updating the name servers, it takes some time for the changes to apply. You can track the delegation status by using tools such as dig or nslookup
