Is it possible to change a tariff package?

Yes, there is a possibility to upgrade the server configuration. Go to section "Cloud Servers" -> "Create & Manage". Choose a server and go to "Upgrade" tab. Choose the configuration you need. Upgrading is automatic and may take up to 15 minutes.

Is it possible to increase separate limits of a server for additional payment?

No, it is not possible to increase separate limits for a Cloud Server. If you wish to increase limits, please change the tariff plan.

What is the tariffication of cloud servers?

Cloud server service tariffication is postpaid. An invoice is issued on the first day of every month and includes the amount for the prior period. A cost of service can not exceed a fixed monthly cost. If a server is used for the lesser amount of hours, there will be hourly tariffication. A cost per hour depends on the chosen tariff package. Cost calculation example:

  • 1 hour - USD 0,01

  • 2 hours - USD 0,02

  • 3 hours - USD 0,03

  • 600 hours - USD 4,97

  • 625 hours - USD 4,97

  • 626 hours - USD 4,97

  • 700 hours - USD 4,97.

On the base of which hardware platform do you work?

Cloud services of servers.com are based on the open source software OpenStack.

Which virtualization system do you use?

As a virtualization system, we use KVM.

Are there automatic backups on your hosting?

Yes, backups are activated by default. Copies are created once a day and renewed. You can set as many stored backups as you need, but there are 5 backups by default. Backups are not included in the disk storage volume.

Is it possible to order additional IP-addresses for cloud servers?

Currently there is no technical possibility to provide additional IP-addresses for cloud servers.

Which OS is it possible to set up on a Cloud Server?

It is possible to choose automatic installation of Unix or Windows (additional fee for license) operating systems.

Here is a list of available operating systems that can be installed automatically:

  • CentOS 7, 9-Stream (64 bit)

  • Almalinux 8 (64 bit)

  • Rocky Linux 8, 9 (64 bit)

  • Debian 10, 11, 12 (64 bit)

  • Ubuntu server 20.04, 22.04 (64 bit)

  • Windows Server 2016 Standard Edition (64 bit)

  • Windows Server 2019 Standard Edition (64 bit)

  • Windows Server 2022 Standard Edition (64 bit)

However, it is possible to set up any OS on your own via the portal in section "Cloud Servers" -> "Upload image".
