Partnering with Bware Labs to enable a multichain future

Worldwide blockchain adoption is growing. That growth relies on access to reliable infrastructure services and development tools.

Back in November 2020 when Bware Labs was founded, reliable infrastructure was hard to come by. In fact, it was an issue that many developers were facing when it came to blockchain access, and API provider failures were widely accepted within the Web3 industry.

Centralization was also rife. Even now, centralized providers still make up the majority of the infrastructure market.

Bware Labs’ mission is, simply put, ambitious: to create an all-encompassing development platform where blockchain builders can get easy access to everything they need to build in the Web3 space, including the highest quality infrastructure services in the industry.

Importantly, infrastructure needs to be decentralized. This means that Bware Labs works with a number of different bare metal node providers. servers.com is one of them – both for hosting Bware Labs’ own API platform, Blast, and as a recommended bare metal infrastructure provider for Bware Lab’s customers.

"One of the key reasons why we have chosen to partner with servers.com is its geographical coverage. We specifically wanted to be in Washington because there is a lower density of other blockchain nodes in the city compared to other areas along the East Coast, and servers.com has a presence there."

The challenge

“As a Web3 company, we are fully committed to playing our part in creating and driving a decentralized, multichain future. Without it, blockchain ecosystems won’t thrive. Web3 apps that use decentralized infrastructure are able to provide higher reliability and accessibility to shared resources” - Radu Enoiu, Co-Founder & Product Manager at Bware Labs.

“We asked our network of followers, in a Twitter poll, what they consider to be the most important factors when choosing a blockchain infrastructure provider, and over half of the respondents chose decentralization.”

Bware Labs wants to provide decentralization while maintaining the highest quality of service. To guarantee that commitment, the company has developed its own Proof of Quality. This concept allows node owners to join the Blast API platform as node providers in a permissionless way, as long as their nodes meet the platform’s performance and data integrity requirements.

It also has its Blast API Integrity Protocol which ensures platform quality by carrying out regular latency checks, up-time, sync status and data integrity.

It is important for Bware Labs to extend this strong focus on the quality of infrastructure and services provided to its partner ecosystem of bare metal node providers.

“We maintain high operational standards and levels of support for all parties involved with our platform so we only want to partner with providers that share our standards. servers.com offers premium support as well as high quality infrastructure. Consistency is everything in the world of Web3.”

“We were impressed at how flexible servers.com is when it comes to providing support on whichever platform works best for customers. Discord, Telegram or email, our node providers know that they can send a message to servers.com and receive support from a human.”

The solution

Decentralizing API services isn’t just about a trusted network of bare metal infrastructure providers. It’s also important that these partners can offer support across as many regions and areas as possible.

“One of the key reasons why we have chosen to partner with servers.com is its geographical coverage. We specifically wanted to be in Washington because there is a lower density of other blockchain nodes in the city compared to other areas along the East Coast, and servers.com has a presence there."

“Geographical strength is also important to us as we look to migrate much of our cloud architecture to bare metal because of the unsustainable long-term cost of cloud. The migration will be much more seamless if we are able to spread our bare metal presence to be as close to our customers, in as many different locations as possible.”

Being close to customers from a support perspective is equally important to Bware Labs, a goal echoed by servers.com.

“We were impressed at how flexible servers.com is when it comes to providing support on whichever platform works best for customers. Discord, Telegram or email, our node providers know that they can send a message to servers.com and receive support from a human.”

“We’re really excited to have servers.com as part of the Bware Labs ecosystem. Not only do they provide infrastructure, but they do so in a way that is collaborative with their customers; working with them to offer guidance on the best configurations and optimization.”

The future

Following the launch of Blast API, Bware Labs is working to onboard more node providers onto the platform. To ensure that their experience is as responsive and efficient as possible, the company wants to supply node providers with a variety of bare metal node infrastructure partners to choose from. This allows node providers to choose the partner that meets their specific needs best.

“We’re really excited to have servers.com as part of the Bware Labs ecosystem. Not only do they provide infrastructure, but they do so in a way that is collaborative with their customers; working with them to offer guidance on the best configurations and optimization.”
